CHRISTMAS 2024
A classic English Yuletide cake, packed with raisins, sultanas, dried currants and prunes, candied peel, glace cherries and almonds, all steeped in brandy.
We feed the baked cake with more brandy, then finish it with marzipan, fondant and ribbon.
This cake will keep well in a cool place, covered in foil, for a month or so. Do not, however, keep it in the fridge, for the fondant will melt and run.
